Why Obiano Is Succeeding In Anambra – Obi

An aide to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, has attributed the success of the Anambra governor to what he termed the ‘spirited focus’ of his administration.

In a chat with LEADERSHIP in Awka, the Anambra State capital over the weekend, Hon. Benjamin Obi, a senior special assistant to Governor Obiano on inter-party/ political affairs, pointed out that while the governor’s detractors continued to labour tofinding faults, the Obiano led administration in Anambra has simply set for itself the perfect agenda and clear cut policy direction aimed at making Anambra the envy of other states as clearly evidenced by the developmental strides recorded by Obiano in the just barely two years of his administration.

He dismissed recent criticism of the governor by former Governor Peter Obi as mere rantings of a disgruntled man.

“Everyone knows that Obi has been dishonest in his criticisms, many of which the governor has wisely chosen to neglect, so as to concentrate on governance.

“ I have challenged Peter Obi on the issue of helipad which he constructed, the escalation of feeding costs, security budgets and a whole lot of other anomalies that characterised his government but he has opted to keep mute, as he knows I am very much in the know of how he depleted Anambra resources, while pretending to have the state’s interest at heart.”

While urging Anambra people to disregard such criticisms, he stated that the days in which people could be deceived cheaply were gone.

“Just check out the revolution going on in Anambra State in all sectors of the economy; agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, civil service welfare and all, you would understand the degree of commitment and seriousness with which Governor Obiano holds governance in the state,” Obi stated.
