Nigeria: Senate passes bill to regulate entrepreneurs’ practices for second reading

The Senate on Wednesday passed a bill to establish the Chartered Institute of Entrepreneurs which would “regulate the practice of entrepreneurs in Nigeria” for second reading.

The bill which was sponsored by Senator Ganiyu Solomon seeks to “advance the study, training and practice of entrepreneurship and determine the standards of knowledge for persons seeking to become entrepreneurs.”

According to Solomon, the institute will have a President and will admit entrepreneurs as members after taking the required exams.
